The title comes from a column I used to write and illustrate in college for the CCAC World in '84 & '85. I would chronicle my adventures & events I would attend.
In here it'll be mostly pictures I draw, paint and assemble. Some old and some new. Why? 'Cause they speak louder than words!

Event Caricature from February 9, 2008
It was a busy week for February. I drew on a Bay Cruise out of San Francisco Thursday. Saturday at the Mall in Pleasanton and a Mardi Gras event in Livermore. Sunday I drew at a 4 year olds birthday party.
This drawing is of Artist Joanna Crawshaw and her husband from the Livermore Mardi Gras event.
This weeks gonna be busy too. 3 days at the World AG Expo in Tulare, CA. Central California. February 12-14th.
To have Big Al Lopez draw at your event email bigalcaricature @ mac.com or call 925.634.6484 for more information and rates.
Drawing live caricature at events since June 1985. I try to capture personality and a likeness. I’ve drawn at places as diverse as the World AG Expo (Tulare, CA), Cartoon Art Museum (SF, CA), Sheraton Waikiki (Hawaii), Harrah's (Reno, Nevada), cruises on SFBay and the house next door. In 1991 “Texas Tim” said people will remember you more if you have a catchy moniker. Shortly after that I started signing my work "Big Al". I’ve been a member of ISCA since 1994. In 1996 I won a "Silver Nosey" award at the NCN's annual convention in Houston, Texas. In 2000 "Atomic Jenny" was voted one of the Top Ten Caricatures of the year. My most recent work inspired by the female form is a mix of figure drawing, caricature and pin-up. They've been shown in Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, Pleasanton and Hollywood. When not drawing at events or working on pinups I keep my eyes and pencils sharp by occasionally attending figure workshops in Livermore, Pittsburg, SF and Sacramento.
